QuiqSim sells travel eSIMs in WhatsApp. This notice says what we keep about you, why, for how long, who processes it and how to exercise your rights. Short on purpose; the terms of sale are on /legal.

A one-way hash of your WhatsApp number. It is your customer identity in our systems.
The name on your WhatsApp profile, as WhatsApp shows it to us, and the language you chat in.
Your orders and payments: destination, package, price, order status, payment status and the Stripe references of the payment. Card details never reach us; Stripe holds them.
The device and operating-system class your browser reports when you open the install page (platform, make, model, OS version, browser, and a hashed browser identifier), so the install steps match your phone.
The messages exchanged in the chat and the identifiers WhatsApp assigns to them, so the thread can pick up where you left off and we can support you.
The delivery status WhatsApp reports for each message we send: sent, delivered, read or failed.
Which step of the purchase you reached, recorded as first-party funnel events linked to your customer identity.
We hold no postal address, no ID document and no card number.
To sell, deliver, support and account for eSIMs, and to keep the service secure and free of abuse.
Legal bases: performance of the contract for the sale, delivery and support of the eSIM; our legal obligation to keep accounting and tax records; our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and free of abuse.
To buy an eSIM we need the chat itself (your WhatsApp number), your destination and a payment through Stripe. Without them we cannot sell or deliver the eSIM.
Order and payment records: as long as Spanish accounting and tax law requires, linked to the phone identity.
The chat: sessions and their messages, no longer than 180 days after the last message.
Device and install records: no longer than 365 days.
Message status records: no longer than 13 months.
Deletion under these periods is carried out by a person; an automated schedule follows.

We use six providers. Each one sees only what its role needs.
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Those transfers rest on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses; a copy of the safeguards is available on request from the support address. We do not sell personal data.
No app, no account, no password. The chat is the product.
No advertising pixels, no third-party analytics, no cross-site tracking. The site and the chat record first-party funnel events only: which step of the purchase was reached.
You’re chatting with QuiqSim’s automated assistant. It alerts the Barcelona team when a message needs a person.

Write to us from the WhatsApp number you used, by email or in the same WhatsApp thread:
A person checks that the request comes from the holder of that number before anything is changed or deleted. Erasure is carried out by a person, not by an automated rule.
Records we must keep under accounting and tax law stay until that period ends, linked to the phone identity only.
Card details are never ours to hold or to delete: they rest with Stripe.
