Payment methods
QuiqSim processes all payments through Stripe — the same payment processor used by Shopify, Lyft, Slack, and millions of other businesses worldwide. This means broad payment-method support out of the box, including credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and a range of bank-redirect methods depending on your country.
Footnote: this is general information about QuiqSim's payment surface. The same Stripe infrastructure handles checkout for the WhatsApp purchase flow + any future web checkout surfaces.

Currency + pricing
Pricing is set in EUR (€) as the canonical currency (Seldon Solutions S.L. is incorporated in Barcelona, Spain — EUR is the legal-entity currency).
For travelers paying with non-EUR cards, Stripe handles currency conversion at network rates at checkout. The exact amount charged in your local currency depends on:
- Your card issuer's exchange rate (typically 1-3% above mid-market)
- Your card issuer's foreign-transaction fee (varies — many travel-friendly cards waive this; standard cards may charge 1-3%)
QuiqSim does not add a separate foreign-transaction surcharge; the EUR price you see is the EUR price you pay. Your card issuer applies any conversion + foreign-transaction fees per their own policy.
How payment works (technical context)
When you message QuiqSim on WhatsApp + select a bundle in the chat picker, the bot generates a one-time Stripe Checkout link. You tap the link → it opens Stripe's secure-hosted checkout page → you complete payment → Stripe sends a webhook back to QuiqSim → the eSIM provisions immediately → install link arrives in your WhatsApp.
This means:
- Your card details never touch QuiqSim's servers — Stripe handles the entire payment surface
- Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant at the highest level (Level 1) — same compliance standard as banks
- Payments are processed in Stripe's secure environment, not in WhatsApp itself
- You can cancel before paying — closing the Stripe link without completing checkout cancels the order
- You receive a Stripe receipt by email if you provide one at checkout
Refunds + disputes
Refund eligibility + process: see /help/refund-policy for the canonical refund policy. Generally, refunds where the eSIM doesn't install or signal fails return to the original payment method via Stripe's standard processing window (5-10 business days).
Stripe's chargeback / dispute system is the formal escalation path if you ever need to dispute a charge. QuiqSim provides documentation + works with Stripe to resolve disputes within the standard 60-90 day window.
Common payment questions
Does QuiqSim accept PayPal? Not directly. Stripe Checkout does not include PayPal as a payment method (PayPal is a competing payment processor). If you specifically need to pay via PayPal, mention it in the WhatsApp chat — QuiqSim may be able to invoice via an alternate flow on a case-by-case basis, but the standard purchase flow uses Stripe.
Does QuiqSim accept Bizum (Spain)? Not yet directly. Bizum integration is on the roadmap pending Monei processor partnership wiring. Spanish residents can currently pay via debit/credit card or Apple Pay / Google Pay through the standard Stripe flow.
Does QuiqSim accept cryptocurrency? Not directly. Stripe Checkout does not currently process crypto on the QuiqSim configuration. For unusual payment needs, message QuiqSim WhatsApp + we'll discuss options.
Does QuiqSim accept bank transfers? Standard purchase flow uses Stripe Checkout (card / digital wallet / bank redirects per the list above). Direct bank transfers (wire transfer, SEPA direct debit) are not currently in the standard flow but may be possible for larger / corporate orders — message QuiqSim to discuss.
Can I pay with a company / corporate card? Yes — Stripe accepts corporate cards from any issuer that accepts standard Visa / Mastercard / Amex networks. Receipt with company billing details is available at Stripe checkout.
Is the payment secure? Stripe is the same payment processor used by major global companies. Your card details are entered into Stripe's secure-hosted page (not QuiqSim's site, not WhatsApp). Stripe encrypts everything in transit + at rest, holds PCI-DSS Level 1 certification (highest tier), and processes payments for many of the world's largest e-commerce platforms.
Do I need to create an account to pay? No. The WhatsApp flow doesn't require an account — you message QuiqSim, pick your bundle, pay via Stripe Checkout, eSIM arrives. Stripe Checkout may optionally let you save your card for future use (your choice), but no account is required.
What happens if my payment fails? The chat tells you the payment failed + offers to generate a new Checkout link. Common causes: card declined (insufficient funds, fraud-block on foreign transaction — your bank may need a heads-up for travel purchases), expired card, network timeout. None of these mutate your order state; you can simply retry.
Will I be billed in my home currency or EUR? EUR is the canonical billing currency. Your card issuer converts to your home currency at their network rate. Your statement will show the EUR transaction amount + the converted amount; the discrepancy (if any) is your issuer's conversion + foreign-transaction fee, not QuiqSim's pricing.
Can I get a tax receipt / invoice for business expense reporting? Yes — Stripe Checkout includes a billing-details field where you can add company name + VAT/tax ID + address. The resulting receipt is valid for business expense reporting. For Spanish-tax-residents needing a specific VAT-invoice format, mention it in the WhatsApp chat — QuiqSim can issue a formal invoice via the Spanish VeriFactu system for orders that require it.
Are there any hidden fees? No. The EUR price displayed in the WhatsApp picker is the EUR price charged. No setup fee, no activation fee, no recurring charge (travel eSIMs are one-time purchases per bundle). Your card issuer may apply conversion + foreign-transaction fees per their own policy — those are outside QuiqSim's control + outside the QuiqSim price.
