QUIQSIM DESTINATIONS HOW HELP

Your first QuiqSim eSIM: what actually happens, step by step

Buying a travel eSIM from a contact you saved in WhatsApp can feel different from buying through a website with a logo, a checkout, and a confirmation email. This page walks you through what you actually see at every step, so you can recognize what is normal and what is not. The goal is to remove the "is this really how it works" hesitation that lives in any new purchase channel.

The 4 steps from save to install

Step 1: Save QuiqSim as a contact

You add a contact in your phone's address book named "QuiqSim" with the number +34 671 619 991. The country code +34 is Spain, where QuiqSim is operated by Seldon Solutions S.L. (Barcelona-registered company).

What you see at this step: a normal contact card in your phone, like any other contact you have added. No app installs. No browser redirects. No account creation popup.

If you tap the wa.me link instead (wa.me/34671619991), WhatsApp opens directly with a pre-filled message draft. You can edit the draft before sending or send it as-is.

Step 2: Message your destination

You send a message describing your trip. Example: "Going to Mexico, 7 days, 5 GB please." Or "I land in Madrid next Tuesday for a week, what bundles do you have?"

What you see at this step: a WhatsApp message you sent, marked with the usual sent-and-read indicators. Within a few seconds, the QuiqSim chat replies with bundle options for your destination and trip duration. The reply lists the carrier (e.g., "Telcel via Airalo for Mexico"), the data amount, the validity window, and the price in your local currency where supported.

If the reply does not arrive within 1-2 minutes during normal business hours (Madrid CEST, Mon-Sun): see the "What if something looks off" section below.

Step 3: Pay via a Stripe link shared in the chat

You pick a bundle from the chat reply. The chat sends a secure Stripe payment link (a URL that starts with stripe.com or a Stripe-hosted checkout page). You tap the link. Stripe's hosted checkout page opens in your phone's browser.

What you see at this step:

Step 4: Install the eSIM before takeoff

Within a minute of payment, the QuiqSim WhatsApp chat sends back two artifacts: 1. A QR code image (a square pattern you can scan with your phone's camera) 2. A tap-to-install activation link (URL starts with esimsetup. or a similar carrier-managed domain)

What you see at this step: a new WhatsApp message in the same QuiqSim chat thread containing the QR code image and the link. The chat also includes a short instruction reminder: open your phone's cellular settings, add a new eSIM, scan the QR or tap the link, follow the on-screen prompts.

Installation on your phone takes under a minute. The eSIM profile appears in your phone's cellular settings as a second data line. You can turn it on now or wait until you land in your destination — turning it on in your destination is what activates the data plan and starts the validity countdown.

What you should see at each step (proof checklist)

If your first QuiqSim purchase goes as designed, you should have these artifacts:

The 4 artifacts together are independent proof: WhatsApp message thread (chat), email (Stripe receipt), eSIM profile (phone settings), QR code or link (in the chat). Each one is verifiable separately. You hold them all.

What if something looks off

If at any step the experience does not match this walkthrough, here is what to do:

"I sent a message and got no reply"

Wait 5 minutes. The QuiqSim chat is staffed during Madrid business hours and routes outside of business hours via automated flows that may take a few minutes to respond on the first message. If you still do not see a reply after 5 minutes, send a follow-up message: "still waiting for bundle options — please confirm you received my message." That triggers a manual review.

"The bundle picker reply does not match what I asked for"

Message the chat directly: "the reply does not match my request — I asked for {destination} for {days} days and {data}." The chat will re-send corrected options. You have not paid anything yet; nothing irreversible has happened.

"The Stripe payment link looks suspicious"

Cancel the purchase. Do not pay. Stripe payment links from QuiqSim always:

If the link does not match all 3 criteria, it is not a legitimate QuiqSim payment link. Cancel, then message the QuiqSim chat with: "the payment link I received looks wrong — can you re-send?" That triggers a fresh link from the QuiqSim system.

"I paid but did not get the QR code"

Wait 2 minutes (the eSIM provisioning step on the Airalo backend takes about a minute on average; occasional delays of 2-3 minutes happen). If you do not see a QR code in the chat after 3 minutes, message the chat: "I paid via Stripe at {time} but have not received my QR code yet — order reference: {Stripe transaction ID from your email receipt}." That triggers a manual provision check.

"The QR code or link looks broken"

Send a screenshot of what you see back to the QuiqSim chat. The QuiqSim team can re-generate the activation artifact and send it again. eSIM profiles can be re-issued within the same purchase without an additional charge.

"The eSIM does not activate when I land"

Coverage activation depends on the carrier network at your destination recognizing the eSIM. If you turn on the eSIM and see "no signal" or "registration failed" on arrival, message the QuiqSim chat: "eSIM not activating in {destination} — phone model: {iPhone XS / Pixel 7 / etc.}." The QuiqSim team can verify provisioning, check the destination carrier status, and either re-issue or refund per case.

Why this walkthrough exists

When the purchase channel is WhatsApp instead of a website, the trust signals look different. There is no big logo at the top of a checkout page, no email confirmation from a branded domain, no order history page to log into. The artifacts you hold are the WhatsApp thread, the Stripe receipt, the eSIM profile, and the QR code or link.

This page is the legibility layer: it shows you what to expect at each step so you can recognize what is normal. The proof is in the artifacts you can verify independently (WhatsApp message metadata, Stripe receipt email, eSIM profile in phone settings).

If the experience matches this walkthrough, you have a working QuiqSim travel eSIM, paid through Stripe, with a chat thread you can return to for top-ups, support, or future trips.
